A trip to Bihar is incomplete without visiting the famous Kesaria Stupa. The ancient monument is said to be built by King Ashoka in memory of Buddha, approximately 2000 years ago. Standing at a whopping height of 104 feet, it stands tall against the bustling city around it and attracts several tourists from near and far. Many scholars believe that this stupa was originally used as a resting place for the Buddhist monks who visited here hundreds of years ago. An interesting fact about this monument is that its structure consists of five terraces, each covered with brickwork in decreasing sizes at every level. Visitors can explore these terraces and enjoy 360-degree views of the surrounding areas before heading back home with memories they’ll never forget!
