Raipur is Chhattisgarh's capital and largest city. It is also one of the country's main industrial centres, with over a hundred steel mills and six steel plants. Aside from it, the city is famous for its temples, lakes, and educational institutions. Raipur is also an ideal spot for trekking at the Gadiya Mountain, the highest peak in the Kaner area. This city has a long and rich history that has been shaped by numerous different rulers, who have all had an impact on its progress.
