Hauz Khas Village, formerly known as Hauz-e-Alai, is an upscale neighbourhood in South Delhi with historical significance and remnants of Mughal architecture. Hauz Khas dates from the reign of Ala-ud-Din Khalji in the early 14th century. The property protects a historic water reservoir erected by Ala-ud-Din Khalji to provide water to the people of Siri Fort.
