Kinnaur is a mystical region, often known as the 'Land of Fairy Tales', with a stunning panorama of lush green valleys, vineyards, snow-capped peaks, orchards, and frigid desert mountains. A vast diversity of flora and fauna can also be found in the region. The Kinnaur Kailash peak towers above the vast snow-covered hills, giving the scene a splendour. Kinnaur Kailash is a sacred mountain in Kinnaur that stands 17200 feet tall and is cinsidered sacred by both Buddhist and Hindu Kinnauris. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Shiva's sacred abode is the magnificent Himalayan peaks, where he lives with his better half, Goddess Parvati. Kinnaur Kailash is said to be the exact location of the gods' abode.
