Khardung La is a high mountain pass in the Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir, India. The pass is located on the Srinagar-Leh National Highway, about 40 km (25 mi) from Leh. It is the highest paved road in the world, and is said to be the gateway to the Nubra Valley and the Shyok Valley. Khardung La is also a popular tourist destination, and is visited by many people from all over the World.
