Zorawar Fort, once owned by one of the greatest warriors, General Zorawar Singh Kahluria, is one of the major attractions to see in Leh. The fort, which served as a military defense base before becoming a renowned tourist destination, draws hundreds of visitors from all across Ladakh. The fort is among the most fascinating sights in Leh with its stone façade, its gorgeous courtyard, and its museums bearing witness to the Valley's tragic history. The fort is also known as Riasi Fort because it previously housed the wealth of Jammu's Dogra lords, which now lies in ruins. Zorawar Fort is located on the Chenab River and is also a popular destination for nature enthusiasts and archaeologists.
