Located in the picturesque hill station of Pachmarhi, Pandav Caves is a well-known tourist destination. According to folklore and popular belief, the five Pandav brothers of the Mahabharata, along with their wife 'Draupadi', spent a portion of their exile here. Archaeological evidence reveals that these caves were constructed by Buddhist monks in the first century AD as they sought sanctuary here, but the story of the Pandavas is more well-known among the locals.
