The Saas Bahu Mandir in Gwalior was built in the 9th century and attracts many tourists and devotees. The name of the temple does not mean Saas (mother-in-law) and Bahu (daughter-in-law) but is a short form of Shastra Bahu, another name for Lord Vishnu. At the gateway of this beautiful temple are the intricately carved idols of Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu, and Lord Shiva. The temple's pillars are embellished with sculptures and wall figures, making it an architectural marvel.
