Takht Sri Damdama Sahib is one of the five takhts of Sikhism and is located in Bathinda, Punjab. Takhts, also known as Seats of Temporal Authority, are holy sites that are extremely important in Sikh religion. The holy book of the Sikhs, Guru Granth Sahib Ji, was assembled and instituted in this holy place by the tenth Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The Takht's construction and architecture closely mirror the Sikh style of architecture, which is why it still attracts a large number of tourists.
