The City Palace Complex was envisioned and built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the founder of Jaipur, and is nestled deep within the walled city. The palace is a stunning blend of Mughal and Rajput architecture, and it includes Mubarak Mahal and Maharani's Palace. City Palace was once the residence of Jaipur's royal family, but it was later divided into two sections, one of which contains a few courtyards and museums, and the other where the royal family currently resides. The palace provides a fascinating glimpse into a bygone period.
