The Jaisalmer Fort, popularly known as the Golden Fort, is the largest fort in Rajasthan. It is carved into the Thar Desert's yellow sandstone, which gives the fort its distinct color. The fort contains magnificent palaces and imposing bastions. Inside, the walls are adorned with magnificent murals, woodwork, and statues. The Jaisalmer Fort's beautiful palace, which rises four to five stories, is its most notable attraction for tourists. One of the best masterpieces of Rajput architecture, it is the biggest of its kind.
