Karni Mata Mandir is one of the most popular tourist attractions around Bikaner. The temple is devoted to Karni Mata, whom the locals believe is an incarnation of Goddess Durga, the Hindu religion's protective Mother Goddess. The Karani Mata Mandir is home to hundreds of rats and attracts people from all over the country who come to worship, feed, and take home half-eaten sweets as Prasad. Maharaja Ganga Singh commissioned this Mughal-style temple, which has a stunning marble exterior and silver plated doors. Many additional silver doors with panels depicting various legends of the goddess can be found across the doorway.
