Tal Chhapar Sanctuary
In Rajasthan, the Tal Chhapar Sanctuary is well known as the home of the blackbuck and several bird species. The sanctuary is surrounded by the Great India Desert, Thar, and has a distinct ecosystem. It has wide grassland with scattered Acacia and Prosopis trees, giving it a savanna appearance. This Sanctuary is an ideal spot to watch Blackbucks, which number in the thousands here.
