Lakshman Jhula is one of the iconic hanging bridges that cross the sacred Ganges river and connects two important villages in Rishikesh. For its historical and religious significance, it is well-known among visitors. According to legend, Lord Lakshman, Lord Rama's younger brother, traveled across the Ganges on two jute ropes. To honor Lord Lakshman and the site, the bridge was constructed. The Jhula also offers a beautiful view of the temples and the Ganges river.
